VAM Systems is currently looking for Data Migration Analyst for our UAE operations with the following skillsets & terms and conditions:
Qualifications – Required education, minimum work years experience
•Computer Science Bachelor/Master’s Degree or relevant field
•5+ years of experience in digital delivery and business transformations
•Excellent written and spoken communication skills, strong presentation skills, and strong analytical skills
Required: Essential skills in order to be successful in the role
•Hands on data migration experience
•Hands on experience in requirements gathering, documenting, user stories creation on migration and/or telecom domain
•Understand business requirements and translate it into high level technical requirements
•Hands on experience on ETL tools (Informatica is a plus)
•Experience on BSS/OSS implementation projects (BSCS, Siebel CRM, Netcracker preferred)
•Experience with Agile development methodologies
•Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to professionally interact with a diverse project team and stakeholders
•Excellent presentation, facilitation, written and verbal communications skills
•Good analytical and strategic skills and focus
•Proactive, can work individually but very good team player
•Able to synthesize complicated concepts and to simplify the complex issues
•E2E knowledge of BSS solutions
•Experience on PL/SQL scripting for queries and reports
•Experience working in large scale migration and digital transformation projects

•Non-relational databases experience
•Kafka and CDC technologies knowledge

•As part of our transformation effort, we are looking to migrate all customers to a new digital ecosystem with minimal impact on customer experience during the transition and maximum impact on business performance by selecting the right customer segments to target for (opt-in and batch) migration, while ensuring that customer coexistence across systems is as simple and seamless as possible.
•The key purpose of the role is to ensure Data Cleansing & Migration process is defined, implemented, tested and executed as per the Data Cleansing & Migration defined strategy and timeline.
The role will manage the internal and external stakeholders to ensure a seamless and simplistic experience from customer perspective in the period of the transfer from source to target environments for all segments.
Role scope – Milestones, Responsibilities, Deliverables
D1 – Data Cleansing and Migration “product backlog” covering all relevant requirements
D2 – Data Migration quality assurance review
D3 – Migration Downstream application requirements backlog
M1 – Data Cleansing and Migration from source to target systems as per project releases
M2 – Data Migration quality process implemented as per project releases
M3 – Migration Strategy implemented per project releases
•Review of quality checks and reports (data integrity checks, reconciliation, invoice verification, etc)
•Support the design and implementation of extract, data fixing and integration scripts for data migration processes
•Assist entity and field level mapping from legacy systems (mostly BSCS/Siebel CRM) to new NC BSS/HPE OSS systems, and support the preparation of the detailed field-to-field mapping documents as well as a detailed concept for data conversion, translation and transformation
•Work with subject matter experts to define, organize, document and communicate the customer transfer requirements and scenarios
•Analyse, communicate and validate requirements for changes to business processes, policies and systems
•Assist Data Cleansing and Migration Product Owner on management of the Migration “product backlog” and prioritization of items based on overall strategy
•Create features on Data Cleansing and Migration backlog based on requirements and scenarios identified on functional workshops
•Review application features, identify and document migration requirements
•Contribute to the planning, execution and review of each migration iteraction
•Work with different teams/vendors to refine and continually improve the sprint deployments and deliverables
•Participate on PI planning and support the elaboration of the plan for overall migration activities
•Interact with different vendos, technical and business areas to gather and refine migration requirements
•Elaborate reports for different aspects of data cleansing and migration project
•Manage reports and dashboards around data quality and overall C&M business stream health, and other forms of documentation to meet GF PMO requirements.
•Will be responsible for the customer coexistence as part of the migration workstream of the Transformation Program. Documenting customer coexistence strategy and plans, communicating the plans to the Transformation Program teams and managing execution.
