Pfeiffer cites the success of Melvor Idle to show that the talent that is available can be found in any game’s community, something Jagex has already realized. “We’ve always observed to be able to count on the RuneScape crowd to be an excellent supply of people for Jagex and beyond, not just terms of game developers , but every role in a studio for games,” the director affirms. “RuneScape has had more than 300 million accounts made in the last 20 years, which means the talent pool that have played the game is enormous.”
In the wake of the partnership that was successful that was formed with Games By Malcs, Pfeiffer declares he’s eager to work more indie development with developers from around the globe who are creating ideas that “align with the philosophy of design that RuneScape has and Jagex’s core values” The hope is that Melvor Idle’s successes will spur more indies to reach out to the studio.
With the latest version 1.0 of Melvor Idle now available, Games By Malcs and Jagex are working together on future content, as well as future titles set in the Melvor universe. Malcolm continues to be grateful to Jagex for its continued support, especially when it comes down to reaching new players.
“They are also great in ensuring that Melvor Idle is reaching more people than I’ve ever could have done by myself including players from the RuneScape community and over the horizon,” said the author. “With the launch of the full version today, I’m looking forward meeting with Jagex on making Melvor Idle even more of a hit, as well as on the next projects.”
Echoes of Yore It is an appropriate name for the brand new MMO developed by indie developer Gellyberry Studios. This is supposed to be similar to classics like RuneScape as well as Tibia and plays in iso perspective. The game’s focus is on discovering the art of crafting, creating your own house and taking a high risk in dark dungeons.
